Question One: MUST COMPLETE
How does Li and the crowd react to the Mao’s appearance? How is this different from how the Australia Prime Minister might be greeted?
Answer to Question 1:
How does Li and the crown react to Mao’s appearance? How is this different from how the Australian Prime Minister might be greeted?
Chairman Mao was the leader and he was communist leader, so everyone had to love Chairman Mao. But Australia is a non-communist country, so anyone can like or hate our leader, without any worries or getting killed for hating our leader, which happened in China.

Reply to Question 1
Crowd goes crazy when Chairman Mao appears because of the propaganda in china. As well as that, China is communist, so Mao has the power to do anything he wishes to do.

answer
The reason the crowd reacts to chairman differently to the Australian prime minister because Chairman Mao is a communist leader and has to be loved and respected otherwise there would be consequences. While if the Australian prime minister did it we would not ave to be all joyful towards her we could think what we like about her.

In china you can’t protest about how the government is running the country, if you do you get killed but in Australia you can protest you and no one will hurt you. Everyone in china must love chair Mao and agree with every thing he says but in Australia you can like or hate the prime minister and can have your own opinion.

In china because of Chairman Mao being the communist leader and his harsh teachings everyone had to love and obey him or else they would be sent to prison or possibly killed. When the Australia prime minister appeared they didn't have to obey him or like him because he was just a stranger to them unlike Chairman Mao who they've been brainwashed into thinking he is the greatest person alive since they were young.

The crowd goes insane and cheers, it's like they are seeing a god and at the same time Chairman Mao is like a god of China and can not be protested

Chapter 13 Question 1
Li and the crowd reacts to Mao's appearance like everyone was forced to love him all the time, as if they don't they could be killed. Unlike in our country we don't need to love our prime minister. We are allowed to hate the prime minister if we want to, but in China you will be killed.

Mao was like a god to Li. He acted totally different to Australia prime minister. Li thought that Mao saved the country and made Chinese citizens to live in a peaceful place. While China believed that Mao was like a hero, the Australians thought that Australian Prime Minister was just a leader of the country.
