Li's three new year wishes are for his niang's happiness, saying that she is the kindest, most hardworking niang. His second wish was for his dia's good health. And for his last wish, which was his most important, for his family to get out of the deep, dark well.

Li’s first wish was for his niang’s happiness. She was such a hard honest worker she deserved to have a change in her life style. His second wish was for his niang to have good health in her life. His final wish was his most important. He wished he could find a way out of his well. He wanted to see new things in the world and have lots of money for him and his family so they could live a happy and joyful stress free life and have choices.

Li's three new years eve wishes are for his niang to have happiness, for good health and he wishes for his family to get out of the hole/well they are in and get some happiness into there lives.

Li Cunxin's wishes included - wish was for his dia's good health, that he could maybe make the dance academy and he wishes that his beloved family to get out of the well they are in and get some happiness into there lives, by not working as hard in the fields.

Li’s first wish was that niang’s situation would get better and his sent a second wish to a god for dia’s good health. Lastly and honestly, he sends the last wish to a god which is most important of all to him. He wanted a his family to overcome a poverty and the requirements to help his family.

Li had three questions and the first one was wishing Niang's happiness and long life and told the 'god' the she was the kindest and most hardworking but she was so poor and she does not deserve that. The second question was wishing Dia's good health. The third and the most important wish was to get out of the deep, dark well. He begged the gods to let him get out of the well to help his family.
